After the week from hell, I'm enjoying a week end doing absolutely nothing, just TV, food, Grey's Anatomy, and blogging. Bliss! (No Grey's spoilers please, we're only on Season 4)
This month, due to uni assignments, silly work hours and general stress, I have been averaging 4-5 hours sleep a night and looking like a scruff! I have been reaching for neutrals, and I have barely worn eye shadow or lipstick.
1. L'Oreal voluminous mascara in Carbon Black: no matter how many mascaras I try, this is THE ONE for me!
2. Avene Hydrance Optimale Day moisturiser: Winter skin saviour! Full review to come
3. Clarins Instant Lip Perfector in 02 Peach: I mentioned this one before I think. It's perfect as it is pretty and moisturising.
4. Make up set up: It's finally all in one place and easy to reach and see everything.
5. NYX Stick Blush in Tea Rose: such a brilliant product. Review to follow!
6. NYX Blush in Dusty Rose: great everyday colour, to be reviewed too.
7. Boots 17 Mirror Shine lipstick in Shouty: it's a great everyday pink. Erm, review to follow!! Although you can see a review of the other shades here.
8. Estee Lauder Double Wear Light foundation: hides a multitude of sins. Review here.
9. Chanel Illusion d'Ombre in Emerveillé: looks great on its own with a little bit of eyeliner. No blending required.
10. Sephora waterproof eyeliner pencils: They are perfect to use in a hurry, smudge well and stay put all day.

The disappointment: Maybelline Cat Eyes mascara: bought on a desperate morning in Sainsbury's as I'd forgotten my mascara at home. I was lured by the offer and boy do I regret it. I don't like the brush, the wet formula, the lack of pigmentation and the lack of volume it gives my lashes. All in all, a fail! What are your favourites this month?

Aw, mascara fails are the worst, I feel. Very frustrating! Love your comment about the EL foundation...I need something that hides a variety of sins, too :P
ReplyDeleteNot too many favorites this month on my end, so I didn't even bother doing a post. Wasn't feeling very inspired with makeup either, due to school stresses.
I'm getting back into it slowly!
DeleteI wish I could wear those Chanel Illusion d'Ombres! They just don't stay on my oily lids even with a primer. :( Makes me sad haha!
ReplyDeleteNice faves Gaelle! Hoe February is less stressful for you!
I can't wear them without a primer so in that sense they really don't deliver!
DeleteNice favourites! I think it's nice once you have the products figured out for busy times like these. Good luck with the course work and hope things settle down soon!
ReplyDeleteI'll have results in three weeks, fingers crossed!
Deleteyou set up looks great hun. xx
ReplyDeleteStill not 100% happy but getting there!
DeleteI like how your makeup is organized. The Muji drawers are a must :)
ReplyDeleteThey are the easiest thing around!
DeleteL'Oreal Voluminous - think I have actually used this years and years ago and liked it at the time. So many more to try out though! Love the look of the blushers. I need a new day cream so looking forward to your review on the Avene x
ReplyDeleteI agree it's hard not to be tempted!
DeleteL'Oreal Voluminous has been my favourite for the past few years! I try different ones now and then but never really get on with them. However, I recently picked up Maybelline 'The Falsies' - now on my second tube and I am MAJORLY impressed. Also, I must get some Muji storage! It's kind of a sin not to have at this stage....x
ReplyDeleteI didn't get on withe falsies but should give it another go!
DeleteGreat post!
ReplyDeleteI like your Muji storage.

It's great for making chaos look tidy
DeleteStill to try those Mirror Shine lippies - or that L'Oreal mascara! Both sound fabulous xo
ReplyDeleteEmma, you have to!
DeleteLovely favourites! I love the Clarins lip perfectors so much! <3
